First of all I would recommend using a Niche Site aimed at just men and women from your particular country. Why? Well because you know all the members will be from the same country and you won't have to waste you time answering messages from people you will probably never meet. If you are thinking about using an International Dating Service It is always a good idea to do a search on the dating site to see if they actually have any local members from your country before joining.

Free or Paid?

The next thing to consider is whether to use a free or paid service. There are disadvantages and advantages to both of these options. The free site obviously does not cost you anything but the on the paid site you may have more methods of communications such as matchmaker surveys, webcam chat sessions, member blogs and private phone conversations.

In my own personal experience of using dating sites I had more success on the paid ones, I think this was because on the paid dating sites the people had invested in the process of meeting someone. I found on free sites people were using them more as a chat room than a place to find a serious relationship. However in these credit crunching times free sites are experiencing a growth.
